Lisa Nkrumah Ababio BSN, RN

Ms. Lisa grew up in Ghana, where she witnessed firsthand the challenges many people faced in accessing quality healthcare. These experiences shaped her passion for medicine and commitment to making a difference. This drive led her to pursue a career in nursing, where hands-on experience deepened her understanding of patient care and the healthcare system. Working at the bedside strengthened her passion for procedural and critical care medicine, inspiring her to take the next step—pursuing medical school with the goal of becoming a surgeon.

Beyond clinical work, Ms. Lisa has always valued leadership, advocacy, and service. Through professional organizations like Sigma Theta Tau and leadership roles in student and nonprofit initiatives, she has supported her peers, advocated for better healthcare practices, and contributed to meaningful change. Being part of this nonprofit is especially meaningful to her, as it provides an opportunity to give back, support others, and work toward a future where quality healthcare is accessible to all.

As she prepares for this next chapter, Ms. Lisa remains dedicated to making a lasting impact in both patient care and the broader healthcare community. Her journey from nurse to future physician is still unfolding, but her mission remains the same: to serve, lead, and inspire.
